“Best in Grade” (7th) nationally in the Scholastics Art and Writing Awards
We learned today that Harper won $500 and “Best in Grade” (7th) nationally in the Scholastics Art and Writing Awards.
We knew she had won two “gold keys” from Scholastics—one for the sculpture and one for another piece. The best in grade award is awarded to 2 individuals in each grade 7th-12th and are chosen from among individuals winners of the “gold keys” nationally.
June 4 our family will go to NYC for her to receive the award in Carnegie Hall! Last year’s host was Tina Fey : - ). Not sure about 2020. We’re thrilled.
We’re grateful Emery took the time to call me and mail us the last brace! More fodder for art! Here is the winning piece called “Scoliosis Orthosis”.
